90 Minutes in Heaven
Last week I read 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper. My friend Lori had given it to me a few months ago and after my great Aunt died last week, I decided to read it. It was about a guy, a pastor, who had been in a car crash and pronounced dead at the scene. They had left him in his car while they were busy trying to clear up some of the crash site to allow traffic to flow again. He then goes on to explain what heaven was like. I won't go into detail about it but I was kinda skeptical at first, but after reading his story, I felt to me like it was a plausible description. He didn't get past the "pearly gate" so he gives the description on what he did see and hear up to that point. It made me think about the family and friends I have know who have passed on, those who had Christ as their Savior, and being able to see them again and the joy there will be. I couldn't help but think of my Dad and thinking of when we will be reunited. It is a neat book. I read the gift book version, a condensed story, but there still was a lot of the story in it. You should read it sometime. - Me
